A Bally/Midway 1986 parts catalog lists Karate Fight among the games covered by the catalog, alongside Beat the Clock, Black Belt, Eight Ball Champ, Lady Luck, Motordome, Special Force and Strange Science.

A later historical rulesheet for Riverboat Gambler states that Dan Langlois was responsible for Karate Fight. This is a retrospective credit rather than a contemporary Karate Fight rulesheet.
