Release and identity
Allied Leisure commercially released Rock On in September 1975. The Open Pinball Database identifies the same title as a four-player solid-state machine manufactured by Allied Leisure in September 1975.
Hardware
Rock On uses the architecture PinWiki designates as Allied Leisure Generation 1. Instead of a central MPU, the system distributes game functions among multiple circuit boards, including assemblies responsible for player and ball state, scoring, lamps and credits.
The machine uses five-digit score displays and chimes. Rock On shares its cabinet and playfield layout with other Allied Leisure Generation 1 games, although artwork and portions of the power-section wiring and components varied among titles.
