Latest evidence review
Cuphead remains an unconfirmed, apparently shelved American Pinball project rather than an announced upcoming machine. Kineticist's late-July rumor tracker now labels it “likely dead” while allowing that it may still be on the table. More significantly, American Pinball owner J. Bryan Vincent said in a July 22 interview that the company's upcoming licensed titles are currently focused on music, film, and television—categories that do not include the Cuphead video-game property. June Pinside discussion still floated a possible resurrection, but those claims were anonymous or secondhand and did not identify Cuphead as American Pinball's planned non-remake licensed title. No current official announcement, prototype presentation, release date, or direct cancellation has surfaced.
